How many guests can The Starting Gate accommodate?
Our luxurious ballroom was designed to be modular in order to comfortably accommodate weddings and events of all different sizes. For a served plated dinner, we can seat 300 guests along with a 24’ x 24’ dance floor. The facility can be seamlessly divided into different sections as well as accommodate different configuration needs (i.e. theater, classroom, standing cocktail, etc.).
Do you have a location for the bride/bridesmaids to get ready?
Our stunning bridal suite is available for the bridal party to get ready with their hair and makeup stylists. The suite offers comfortable couches and chairs, salon-style makeup vanities with lighted mirrors, two restrooms, and a full-length mirror. The suite is available from 8:00am to the end of the reception.
Do you have a location for the groom/groomsmen to get ready?
Yes, we can create the perfect spot to enjoy a light lunch, snacks, cocktails, and more!

Where is the nearest airport?
Bradley Airport (Windsor Locks, CT) and Logan Airport (Boston, MA) are the two closest international airports. Westfield-Barnes Airport and Worcester Airport are smaller regional airports that accommodate private and limited commercial air travel.

Yes, The Starting Gate is available year-round for weddings and other events.
Food & Beverage
Can I bring in an outside caterer or our own food to accommodate our cultural requirements?
The Starting Gate is a full-service catering facility and our in-house Executive Chef creates all of our menus. We are happy to work with you to see if our chef can accommodate your food preferences, including any special dietary or allergy restrictions. We do not allow outside catering.
How large is your bartender and wait staff team?
An exceptional server-to-guest ratio of 1:20 ensures that every guest is served promptly, so no one waits long for a drink or their meal.

Will my wedding be the only event taking place on our date or will there be other weddings or events happening before or after?
We host only one event a day at The Starting Gate, ensuring you and your guests enjoy the privacy and attention you deserve.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, The Starting Gate meets all ADA accessibility requirements.
Is there parking onsite?
We offer complimentary valet service for all of your guests. Guests may also park on their own in our spacious parking lot free of charge.
Can I host my micro wedding at The Starting Gate?
Yes, we’re able to accommodate and host small, intimate weddings. Let’s discuss our special micro wedding package if your guest count will be between 30-50 guests!
